Recorded live in the Summer of '98, I did not release this until 2000. I did very well with this CD and seemed to be a fan favorite. I compiled 21 tracks altogether. When I announced this on my Facebook wall today the comments lit up. That took me by surprise. This CD has been out of print for several years because I moved on to other projects. Nonetheless I'm proud of my first baby. I hope you enjoy it.

RAW - mostly recorded live at PIECES Bar in the West Village / New York City.

The gig lasted between: '95-2000. Actual recordings made: '98-2000. The original release ofRAW was 2001. The late night work-in-progress shows took place every Monday night at Midnight and grew in popularity and were free and open to the public.This was the place where Jimmy James began his transition into finding himself as an artist.  In the school of hard knocks these shows fortified Jimmy James as a performer capable of standing on his own while developing his own looks, identity, voice & voices. We think you'll appreciate the raw talent as it blossoms right before your ears! The recordings are not perfect. Jimmy is not perfect. It's all RAW.

For the last track of the album, and in keeping within the RAW theme, we've added a raw one-take studio recording of "It's Morning Again" written and sung by Jimmy in 1997. Without any lyrics written he got behind the microphone, closed his eyes and just started singing to the beats and a song was born! What you hear in this recording is a stream of consciousness recorded in ONE TAKE! This song is still just a demo.
